Many Blackberry addicts will adamantly refuse to give up their Blackberry under any circumstances. Turn it off for a flight, possible, but not easy.
What about a job that prohibits Blackberry (and all email) use? That’s what President Obama signed up for when he took office. I had no idea that the US President was not allowed to use email, and I was quite surprised when I learned it.
With my limited experience with security software, I’m convinced that most security breaches are not caused by a technological problem, but a social and operational problems. The only thing that technology brings to the table is speed: never before have security breaches happened so quickly.
Apparently, the NSA is hooking Obama up with his new 8830. I’d like to think that they know what they are doing, as I use the “NSA Approved” Rinjdael advanced encryption system (AES) for my networking security! I believe in the math, but I can’t help having doubts when I read stories about hackers gaining access to top secret documents about our fighter jets.
It has to happen some time, so I’m glad that the President is getting back online.
